When you look around, you see lots of sweet stories about moms and their children. From baby steps to celebrations, the world is full of these precious moments. 

However, this strong bond isn’t just for humans. The love between a mom and her baby is unique, and it goes beyond humankind.

For example, imagine a mommy cat and the strong love she has for her little kittens, the way she takes care of them and snuggles them tightly.

One such cat lost her opportunity to do all of this, and I want to share her heartbreaking story with you. 

It will make you realize how deeply animals can feel, and undoubtedly touch your heart. It’s not a typical tale of adorable kittens playing around, but a tale about a mother’s love being snatched away too early due to someone’s cruelty. 

It all began with a post shared on Twitter that quickly went viral. The post had a video and photos showing a really sad and emotional moment of a mommy cat saying goodbye to her little kitten who sadly passed away.

The pictures showed the kitten resting in a tiny hole in the ground, believed to be dug by the owner, as the mommy cat snuggled up to it.

However, the video was even more heartbreaking. In it, the mother cat carefully used her paw to cover the grave with dirt. 

She did it slowly as if she wanted to give her poor baby a proper burial and say goodbye in peace.

It all went down in a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. Anyone who witnessed her burying her small kitten felt the weight of the moment.

Their owner believed that humans were responsible for the kittens’ passing and that the mom cat was probably abused while she was pregnant. 

The truth is, the poor thing only wanted a safe place to deliver her kittens, as the owner shared on Twitter:

“This mother cat was pregnant at the time and only wanted a place to give birth. Treat animals with kindness, don’t drive them away by kicking or hitting them. If they look hungry, just give them some food, it won’t make you poor.”

As the post gained more attention, it caused anger and a call for compassion towards animals. It showed that animals have even more feelings than we realize, especially when it comes to taking care of their babies. 

On the other hand, there was also something positive in this story. People from all around the globe came together and discussed how small acts of kindness can greatly help animals in need. 

A kind word, sharing some food, or simply not shooing away these poor animals are all ways to show compassion. All these tiny actions could create a positive change.

Even though this situation is truly devastating, it’s nice to know that there are people who truly care about animals. Maybe this story can make us all rethink and be kinder to the little furry friends we share this world with.
