Guy Heard Faint Cries Coming From His Wall And Couldn’t Believe What Was Trapped Inside
Animals can end up trapped in the most unexpected places. Thankfully, there are good souls out there, willing to go above and beyond to save those precious souls in need.
One day, a man heard faint cries inside his wall. He was immediately concerned, but also curious, and he knew he had to act! However, he couldn’t tell where exactly this poor thing was.
It was getting late at night and he still couldn’t locate the crying source. So he called Hope For Paws rescuers, hoping they could intervene.
However, once they arrived the man informed them that he had no idea where it was coming from since it’s been quiet for a few hours. They knew they had to respond fast so they used a special camera to peer into the wall.
In a Facebook post capturing this late-night rescue mission, the shelter’s founder Eldad Hagar shared:
“Loreta Frankonyte, JoAnn Wiltz, and I walked into this man’s home around midnight, we all had masks on, we held flashlights, and shortly after our arrival, we started poking holes in his walls!”
However, the camera only revealed some old newspapers. Disappointed and disheartened, the rescue team considered calling off their search.
Just as they thought it was time to give up, Loreta spotted a heartwarming sight on the screen.
What she saw was a glimpse of a tiny moving face inside the wall. It was an adorable kitten in desperate need of help! Everyone was happy and relieved to finally locate this precious soul.
Eldad suggested cutting through the wall to create an opening space. Fortunately, the kind homeowner cared more about the kitten’s safety than any damage to his home and instantly agreed.
Without wasting a moment, Eldad started cutting, his only focus on not hurting the little one. Once he was done, he peered inside and realized this little fellow wasn’t alone!
Loreta took over and rushed to the wall opening with a flashlight. To their surprise, there was another adorable kitten, equally scared and desperate. The siblings meowed pitifully, clinging to each other for warmth.
With gentle hands and careful movements, Loreta scooped out the first baby. As they finally cuddled him in their arms, everyone’s hearts melted with compassion.
This cute baby, with eyes still closed, was barely bigger than a handful. His fur was warm, which was a sign that he was fine.
While JoAnn checked their rescued buddy, Loreta hurried back to the opening. As she extended her arm one more time, she reached for the second baby.
It was such a heartwarming scene when this second kitten, a sweet baby girl, greeted them with eyes wide open. They couldn’t help but smile and feel grateful for reuniting these precious siblings.
Thankfully, both kittens were in good condition and the rescue team finally breathed a sigh of relief. They were overjoyed for saving not one, but two precious lives just in time.
How these poor babies ended up inside the wall remained unknown. Yet, the rescuers had their theory:
“We believe they fell from the attic to the ground (15ft), and once that happened, the mom relocated the siblings, and she was never seen again by the homeowner.”
JoAnn gave the kittens sugar water to boost their glucose level and wrapped them in soft blankets for warmth. These fragile souls were only two weeks old and needed all the care they could get.
Since they realized their mama was missing, JoAnn took them home with her. After a warm bath and nourishing milk, she spent the whole night nursing them and showering them with love.
The shelter reflected on its compassionate staff who spared no efforts in caring for these kitties and shared:
“It was JoAnn’s amazing skills that kept these two babies alive! JoAnn worked a full day with us, when she finally got home, a call for help came, we accomplished the rescue after midnight, and then she had to bottle-feed the babies through the night.”
As days turned into weeks, the two furballs grew bigger and stronger. They soon transformed into playful, feisty kitties, full of life. The girl was named Blondie, and the boy, Dagwood.
The Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats took them in their foster care. There, they continued to thrive surrounded by newfound love and affection, embracing every moment of their second chance at life.
Once Blondie and Dagwood were old enough, they were ready for a new chapter in their lives. Their fosters shared the news of their adoption, hoping to find them perfect fur-ever homes where they’d be cherished and adored.
