Every day people see strays struggling in the streets, yet too often, they choose to look the other way. Fortunately, there are kind souls among us who offer them a helping hand.

This is a story about a helpless stray cat and a compassionate woman whose paths crossed and everything changed.

One day, during a raging tropical storm, a woman named Ravita rushed home from work. Suddenly, she noticed a stray cat, soaked and trembling in the downpour. The poor kitty followed her, meowing loudly as if she begged, ‘Take me home with you’.

At that moment, Ravita’s heart trembled too. Watching the desperate kitty, barely a six-month-old, touched her deeply. She couldn’t bear to leave her alone, as shared in a YouTube video:

“She was completely wet and cold and I thought it wouldn’t cost me anything if I gave her shelter for the night.”

Life must have been hard for this ginger cat. With no one to feed her or offer her a gentle touch, she probably faced each day with fear. But now, curled up in a warm home, she finally found solace and safety.

To Ravita’s surprise, the kitty was incredibly friendly and affectionate. She sought cuddles at every opportunity and kept tapping the woman’s leg with her soft paws. As she constantly purred, Ravita named her Furry Purry.

Maybe Furry Purry acted so because she once might have been someone’s beloved pet, or she just wanted to express her gratitude for the kindness she received.

Nevertheless, one thing was certain – this smart kitty found the best way to secure her place in Ravita’s heart and home.

The next day, Ravita had to return to work and wasn’t sure what to do with her furry friend. She didn’t want to leave her alone, nor did she have the heart to release her back to the streets.

With no options left, she decided to bring the cat along with her. Surprisingly, the kitty behaved perfectly at the office, causing no problems or disruptions whatsoever.

At that point, Ravita realized she couldn’t let go of her. She felt there was a reason this kitty followed her home and that their encounter was more than a coincidence, sharing:

“That’s when I realized I had to keep her. This cat definitely found me and chose me as its owner.”

Filled with gratitude for welcoming her into her home, it seemed that the cat wanted to repay the kindness the only way she knew – by showering Ravita with all her love.

That’s how Furry Purry found her forever home and Ravita found not only a cherished pet but also a loving companion who never left her side, sharing:

“She loves it when I pet her and when I go to bed she snuggles up next to me and purs lullabies to me in her cat language.”

From a lost stray to a cherished family member, the adorable ginger cutie now thrives in a loving home. Her whole life was forever changed, thanks to the compassionate woman who refused to look away.
