“I was just getting ready before work one morning and there was a little bit of a ruckus in the yard. What I saw was two gray squirrels chasing around a tiny red one. The red one was really flopping all over the place.”
“So I wanted to break it up. I just went over and scooped him up, put him in my palm, and he immediately curled up.”
“I think he was very cold. For the first couple of days he’d only fall asleep in my hands.”
“He’ll walk straight and then start going off-course. We weren’t super confident he’d be able to do the basic squirrel things that he needed to.”
“When that became more obvious, then we started introducing him to the cat.”
Their interactions are simply adorable. They’re endlessly curious about each other and quickly figured out how to play together. Sometimes, Jack can be a bit too rough, but a gentle chirp from Tommy is all it takes to make Jack ease up.
