Adopting a rescue cat is always a good and right thing to do. Our shelters are full of different cats eagerly waiting for their second chance at life.

Believe it or not, there are many benefits of adopting a shelter cat. One such advantage is that shelter adult cats already have established personalities and routines. You don’t need to train or socialize them, but it takes time to get to know them.

Just like that, this woman named Dominique adopted a senior, gorgeous-looking ginger and white cat. But, what left her shocked was the cat’s odd morning routine.

Dominique shared a 30-second video on her TikTok, showcasing her cat’s unusual habit of showering every morning. The first time Dominique discovered that, she was left speechless. She wrote on her video:

“You adopt an old cat from the shelter and this is now your morning routine.”

In the video, we witness the cat hopping into the shower out of the blue and continuing to enjoy its morning shower.

This is a video you don’t see every day, therefore, it captured a lot of attention. One person humorously wrote:

“Is this a premium feature in the universal cat distribution system.”

Another user suggested:

“He needs a little bathrobe.”

One user had a good point:

“Since he’s older, I wonder if it helps him feel better from his aches.”

Another user added:

“Everyone wants kittens, but honestly, adult cats from a shelter have really interesting personalities and most of the ones have been really affectionate.”

While not all cats adore water and baths, this discovery was quite surprising. Cats usually avoid water because they’re not used to being around it, or they don’t feel safe, or it’s too cold for them, but they know how to swim.

Certain cat breeds, such as Maine Coons, Turkish Vans, Bengal cats, and others, are known for their affinity for water and swimming, including this adorable sweet ginger and white cat!

This cat finally got the second chance and he and his owner have enough time to completely get to know each other and embark on a flourishing journey together.
