Shelter Gives Homeless Cats Farm Jobs By Pairing Them With People Who Own Farms

We humans have to work to survive. We have jobs so we can buy food, put a roof over our heads, and clothes to cover and keep us warm.

Now this shelter is giving cat jobs to keep them alive. It may sound strange at first, but we think this is a very good idea. SpokAnimal, a rescue organization based in Washington, have a creative program called Farm Livin’. With this unique relocation program, they give farm jobs to those cats who don’t get adopted. What they do is that they pair cats with farm owners so instead of getting euthanized, these cats can work and deal with the farm’s rodent issues.

The cats are all vaccinated, neutered, and spayed. And we know cats just love chasing after mice. So these cats get to have their dream job.

And not only that, they are paid very well too. Yup, their payment comes in form of food, and a safe place to live in. And since some of these cats love to live outside in their own territories, they also get to do that in the farms they live and work in.

These cats are not just employed, their employers become their new family. And some of these cats crawl right into their employer’s hearts.
