These adorable felines found their way to the compassionate folks at Happy Jack Cats Rescue in the beautiful city of Boise, Idaho. 

Lola, facing the world without eyes, depends completely on her one-eyed sister Lucy. Their unique and unbreakable bond is truly inspiring, a testament to the power of sibling love.

While Happy Jack Rescue did their best to provide care, these resilient sisters needed a bit more help, especially with their medical needs. 

Reaching Out For Help

Despite reaching out to several rescues, it was Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue, located all the way in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that answered the call. Kirsten Kranz, the founder of Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue, stepped in to lend a hand. 

But let me tell you, getting Lola and Lucy from Idaho to Wisconsin was no small feat, my friends – we’re talking about a whopping 1,600 miles separating the two locations!

However, thanks to the dedication of a volunteer flight attendant who specializes in making these incredible cross-country cat rescues happen, Lola and Lucy embarked on their journey to safety. 

After a quick pit stop at a vet to ensure they were fit to fly, they finally arrived at their new foster home in Wisconsin, greeted with open arms and boundless love from their foster parents.

Overcoming Challenges

Life hadn’t been a walk in the park for these sisters before their rescue. In addition to their blindness and impaired vision, they were battling weight issues and underbites, making even something as basic as eating a challenge.

Sue Lentz, from Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue, took them under her wing and lovingly fed them watered-down soft food, watching with amazement as they shoved it in with unwavering determination. 

But here’s the heartwarming twist – within just two months, they defied the odds by doubling in weight. It’s a testament to their resilience and the love and care they’ve received.

UPDATE! Facing New Challenges

Now, let’s fast forward a bit. Lola faced a new hurdle. Despite round-the-clock care, her eye unfortunately ruptured, and the decision was made to remove it. 

However, their incredible foster parents didn’t waver one bit, continuing to shower them with love, care, and all the attention they needed.

Yet, their story doesn’t stop there. Lucy relies on Lola, even without sight, sticking close by her side in unfamiliar places. The bond they share is unbreakable and heartwarming, to say the least.

In a touching display of loyalty and trust, Lucy waits for Lola after her eye appointments, showing that their connection still runs deep and strong.

These two sisters are nothing short of extraordinary. Despite the hardships they’ve faced, they persevere, knowing that they have each other for unwavering support. 

As they navigate life without sight together, their remarkable journey continues, and their bond only grows stronger with each passing day.
