Adult cats are normally silent except in extreme situations where anger or fear provokes vocalizations.
The fact that pet cats continue meowing in adulthood has led researchers to speculate that they’re living in a state of prolonged kittenhood. But what if a cat is making really strange noises?
If you think something might be wrong, it’s definitely worth talking to a vet. If everything is okay, well, your cat may be a little odd. It’s part of their charm!
The cat making peculiar noises appears to be a healthy oddity, as you can see in the video uploaded below. What motivated the video creator to press record, he said in his explanation:
“Our house has been experiencing some really unusual recent events. It appeared as though a weird noise was occurring repeatedly upstairs.
And I was never able to figure it out. In order to see what it was and to capture it, I put up a camera the other day. Sure enough, I was able to capture something quite weird.
Two cats were caught on the concealed camera relaxing on a big ottoman.
The fact that they are buddies is actually rather endearing. As we’ve already stated, cats may be oddballs. One of them is sound sleeping on his back.
The other is positioned more like a cat. Ten minutes later, we discover that the cat who appeared more like a typical cat is the one making the eerie noises.
The cat starts making the craziest sounds, almost like a dog going “arf, arf, arf.” The cat’s human dad was utterly baffled:
“What is that? What is he doing? That cat is the weirdest cat in the world. It’s like he’s broken. Somebody, please tell me what is going on! I’m pretty sure my cat is not a cat. What is it? I don’t know.”
We can’t vouch for the authenticity of this video, but it’s certainly food for thought
