Hazel is a Yorkie, Chihuahua and poodle mix, who lives in Abilene, Texas with her beloved mom, Monica Burks. Hazel loves Monica and always surprises her with her actions. And recently, the dog surprised her mom by bringing home an abandoned kitten.

Everything happened when Monica let Hazel outside for her bathroom break. However, the dog did not come back quickly from her potty break. For this reason, Monica peered outdoors to see where her dog had gotten to, and she noticed Hazel returning with a new friend.

The soaking wet dog seemed to be very patient with her new friend. Hazel walked really slowly and often turned around to make sure the small cat didn’t lag behind. Meanwhile, the kitten moved awkwardly in the rain right behind Hazel, she looked a bit shy.

The two new buddys made it to Hazel’s home, however the little kitten was too tiny to reach the step outside the door so Hazel helped the kitten herself and lifted her up.

Monica was very touched for Hazel’s incredible action. She was so proud for her fury friend with a heart of gold.

Later they took the little kitten to Monica’s brother, who decided to adopt it. He named the lovely kitten Sheba. It looks like Hazel and Sheba will continue sharing a special bond with each other.
