Having a suburban house with a backyard means you will welcome wildlife whether you like it or not. 

However, if you are lucky enough, a stray cat might come around and ask you to adopt her! The cat distribution system struck the family from today’s story in the most adorable way, so buckle up to hear all about it.

The family was relaxing on their terrace one Sunday afternoon when they heard unusual sounds coming from the backyard. 

Their two sons immediately wanted to go investigate, but their dad wanted to first make sure the animal in question was not feral.

The dad went down and started following the sound. The closer he came to a tree close to their fence, he quickly realized the sound was a tiny meow.

He looked behind the tree and there she was – a tiny kitten crying for help. The man was shocked, the poor baby was all alone. He looked around hoping her mom was nearby, but sadly the kitten seemed abandoned.

The man scooped her up and she didn’t mind it all! She was extremely tiny, but already a real cuddle bug! 

Since the night before was rainy and cold, the man rushed to warm the kitten up. He gently wrapped her in a blanket and brought her inside their home.

His two young boys were ecstatic, they welcomed the kitten and it seemed she found her forever home.

However, the kitten was still tiny and should have been nursing with her mom. The dad figured they would have to bottle-feed her for her to survive.

The tiny soul latched onto the bottle quickly and her tummy was finally full! Although their sons wanted to keep the kitten, the parents still hoped mama cat would show up eventually.

Over the next few days, the family patiently waited for mama cat to come back for her kitten. Sadly, after a week of waiting it was clear the poor baby was abandoned. 

The family decided to officially adopt the kitten and provide her with a loving and warm forever home! 

How the kitten ended up behind the tree was uncertain, but I’m grateful the family was kind enough to save the tiny soul!
