A well-executed restoration can really do wonders for a vehicle, as is evidenced by this 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS Fastback.

A well-executed restoration can really do wonders for a vehicle, as is evidenced by this 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS Fastback. Now, this gorgeous Super Sport is up for sale in Illinois.

Let’s start outside, where we find this Chevrolet Impala SS finished in a silky smooth, two-tone paint job. The top half is done in a silver metal flake, while the bottom is done in black, all while a red pinstripe divides the halves. A glossy clearcoat was then applied on top, and the result is a mirror finish. The door jambs were painted as well, while every piece of trim was either redone or replaced. There’s also new 396 emblems in the sides, as well as new SS emblems, new mirrors, and new door handles. The wheels are 17-inch by 10-inch Torque Thrust rollers wrapped with Nitto tires.

Moving inside, we see brand-new white upholstery, which looks like it hasn’t seen a mile on the road. The cranks, armrests, and handles are new as well, as are the sill plates, weatherstripping, and window seals. Even the windshield is new. This 1967 Chevrolet Impala also comes with a rare Multiplex stereo, although the previous owner installed something a bit more modern for the tunes. The factory air conditioning keeps things cool.

Although the side badging says 396, this 1967 Chevrolet Impala was later fitted with a 454 V8 engine, which is topped by dual quads and throws down 450 horsepower. Highlights for the ‘eight include an aluminum Edelbrock intake, finished in orange, as well as custom fuel lines and fittings, an electric choke, and new ignition and headers from HEI. There’s also plenty of chrome dress-up pieces, while the bottom of the hood is painted as well. Sending the power rearwards is a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, which connects to the original 12-bolt rear end.

The previous owner says he sunk some $60,000 into restoring this 1967 Chevrolet Impala SS, and it definitely shows. Now, it’s listed for sale by Volo Auto Sales in Illinois for $38,998.
