There’s just something about cats with long fangs that makes me swoon. And, I think I’m not only speaking for myself when I say this! For one absolutely beautiful super senior cat named Fang, he is the epitome of black cat cool. He’s handsome, never takes a bad photo, and he’s got the coolest fangs you’ve probably ever seen on a cat before.
This rescue kitty will steal your heart—and his rescue story is one that will touch your heart, too. It just goes to show you that sometimes older cats simply need someone to take a chance on them. And when they do, they get the chance to shine, feel loved, and never have to worry about getting rehomed again.
I caught up with Fang’s sweet cat mom and thankfully she allowed me to share his lovely story and pretty pics, so enjoy!
How did Fang come into your life?
I adopted fang from the Connecticut humane society in 2014. I saw his picture online and fell in love immediately! He had several teeth removed before I adopted him due to bad oral hygiene and he eventually had the rest of his teeth (except his top and bottom fangs and 2 little bottom teeth) removed after I adopted him and his mouth felt so much better after.
What is his personality like?
Fang is a little shy around strangers and I’m lucky that I get to see his true personality shine. He’s very a very spirited and sweet boy. He loves to yell when his meals are late and wants to be pet before he eats. He’s super affectionate and also loves being chased so he can show off how fast he can run haha. He is always at the door when I come home and usually will join me when I need to use the bathroom. Fang is a big fan of chasing the laser pointer, laying in the sun on the balcony.
