There is something about tortoiseshell cats that is truly special. Not only are they unique in appearance, but these female kitty cats often have sass for days that their owners just can’t get enough of. For one rescued tortoiseshell cat named Elizabeth, she lives in Japan with her dedicated cat parent. And she’s here to defy the tortietude stereotype because she is nothing but sweet and kind. She spends her days being loved and spoiled with all the attention she could ever want. And when she’s not busy being a pampered princess, she’s ready to strike a pose for the camera.
Her owner told me that “in Japan, tortoiseshell cats are said to be smart, cooperative, and loving. But, because of tortoiseshell cat’s distinctive color, they are not popular in Japan.”
