1970 Chevelle SS

This Painstakingly Restored 1970 Chevelle SS Will Leave You Breathless

For muscle car enthusiasts, the 1970 Chevelle SS represents the pinnacle of Chevroletโ€™s iconic muscle car era. This brilliant Cinnamon Metallic example, painstakingly restored from tip to tail, will leave you breathless with its flawless fit and finish.

A Meticulous Frame-Off Restoration

This Chevelle underwent a full rotisserie restoration down to the bare metal, not a single rust bubble or crack anywhere on the laser-straight body. Every inch of metal is completely smooth and damage-free thanks to high-quality Goodmark replacement panels. Seamless body gaps indicate the dedication to precision and craftsmanship by the restoration shop.

Even the underside received the same obsessive level of care. The fully boxed frame is smoothed and painted in gloss silver, providing the perfect foundation. An Air Ride Technologies air suspension system with digital remote control allows adjusting the stance precisely. Strong Arm front and rear tubular control arms enhance handling while adjustable gas shocks smooth out the ride.

Massive 20-inch rear wheels give it a wicked aggressive stance, while 18-inch fronts maintain easy turning. State-of-the-art disc brakes all around ensure this beast stops as well as it goes. A polished stainless exhaust with crossover pipe and Magnaflow mufflers snarls loudly.

A Truly Custom Exterior

The flawless Cinnamon Metallic paint gleams like glass, laid out evenly with a deep wet look shine. The color transforms in changing light, with heavy metal flakes bursting through. Contrasting silver stripes, hand-painted along the bodylines, provide a custom flair.

The raked stance comes courtesy of a fiberglass long hood with tall cowl induction. Halogen headlights illuminate the road while a full set of fresh chrome and polished trim sparkles like jewelry. All new glass ensures clarity, topped off with tinted windows for an extra sinister look.

Inside, the carpeted trunk is home to booming stereo components. The trunk lid and jambs are slick body-color paint for a consistent appearance.

Driver-Focused Cockpit

The all-black interior sets the tone with aggressive good looks. Custom front seats were restored with fresh foam and upholstery, neatly tailored with no unsightly wrinkles. Door panels and dashboard pad fit perfectly and feel supple.

Tasteful woodgrain on the tilt steering wheel and upgraded instrumentation provide a refined yet performance-oriented feel. A custom center console houses the modern overdrive transmission selector between the seats. The cabin is further enhanced by a powerful stereo with concealed speakers integrated into the rear parcel shelf and kick panels.

A Professionally Built High-Performance Powerplant

Pop the hood to reveal a masterfully built 500 cubic inch big block V8 built for tire-shredding power. Starting with a World Products block filled with a forged Eagle rotating assembly, every component was carefully selected. The engine churns out over 600 horsepower, more than enough motivation to roast those massive rear meats.

It inhales deeply through a polished Brodix intake manifold under the towering fiberglass hood scoop. A demonic Brodix roller camshaft works with hydraulic roller rockers to control the Brodix aluminum heads, creating a wicked lumpy idle. Spent gasses roar through coated Hedman headers and three-inch stainless exhaust.

A Billet serpentine system with chrome accessories including the alternator, water pump, compressor, and power steering pump cleans up the look. MSD ignition and a Holley dual-feed carburetor optimize performance while a polished aluminum radiator and dual electric fans keep temperatures in check.

Modern Driveability

Backing up the stout big block is a 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission for comfortable cruising, now with the addition of overdrive for highway efficiency. To handle the power, upgrades include a deep aluminum pan, heavy duty flywheel cover, and high-torque starter.

A custom driveshaft sends twist rearward to a built 12-bolt rear axle with Richmond gears, C-clip eliminators, and a polished aluminum cover for durability. Rounding out the performance upgrades are front Wilwood disc brakes, Fatman spindles, and rear adjustable shocks controlling the air suspension.

Take it Home

This 1970 Chevelle SS, painstakingly restored to concours quality levels, offers the perfect blend of classic muscle and modern drivability. With its custom color, flawless fit and finish, upgraded suspension and brakes, and thundering big block V8, it will be the highlight of any collection or show. Act quickly before another enthusiast beats you to it!
