A Classic Beauty: The 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator in Vibrant Competition Orange

This 1969 Mercury Cougar 390 Eliminator is one of those muscle cars which can offer luxury and comfortable driving, featuring a high-performance engine and suspension. The Cougar is actually the Mustang’s older brother, with a longer and wider body, while the engines remain the same. But overall it looks incredible with his sport and aggressive Competition Orange body and for sure is one of the best muscle cars ever produced.

This version of Mercury Cougar is Eliminator which appoints a high-performance vehicle. The hood scoop, hood pins, spoiler at the front, and adjustable rear wing were installed only in the Eliminator version regardless of the engine type. Like the exterior, this Cougar Eliminator inside is well equipped with a comfortable interior, AM/FM radio, AC unit, and luxury details such as a woodgrain center console featuring chromed details.

This particular 1969 Mercury Cougar 390 Eliminator under the hood, it’s equipped with Ford 390 cubic inch or 6.4-liter V8 engine with a four-barrel carburetor, this engine is factory rated at 320 horsepower and an impressive 427 lbs.-ft. of torque. The engine is attached by a Ford C6 3-speed automatic transmission with a 9-inch rear axle with 3.50 rear-gears and locking differential, connected to 15-inch Magnum style wheels. This combination is ideal for drag racing.
