Classic Muscle with a Modern Twist: The RingBrothers “Strode” 1969 Chevy Camaro

At this year’s SEMA auto show, the RingBrothers presented their latest creation in which they have incorporated their latest design and technology. We are talking about this 1969 Chevy Camaro so-called “Strode”. With this muscle car, the RingBrothers have raised the customization of classic American muscle cars to a completely new level, where only a few custom builders can reach this level of perfection.

At first sight, we are seeing a 1969 Chevy Camaro, however, the RingBrothers have put in over 6,500 hours of hard work and have completely made this American icon entirely out of carbon fiber. As we have mentioned above, the body is made of carbon fiber, painted in a white and matte gray color combination, without exposing a naked carbon fiber and featuring some of their body details.

The interior has been created from scratch by Upholstery Unlimited. Inside we can see a minimalistic design, which is crafted only with high-quality materials. The dashboard, center console, door panels, and seats are upholstered with high-quality brown leather. Behind the carbon steering wheel, there are two modern-style Dakota Digital gauges and climate vents at the lower section. At the center console, there are additional gauges, a media LCD screen, and fighter jet-style window buttons. A safety roll cage secures the interior and at the back seats, a subwoofer is styled to look like a suitcase, which is an awesome and original design.

Under the carbon fiber hood, there is a GM’s small-block LS3 V8 engine custom-built by Wegner Motorsports from Wisconsin. With 2.9-liter Whipple Supercharge on top and a Holly Dominator fuel management system, this engine generates 700 massive horsepower and could go up to 1000. The engine is attached by a Bowler TREMEC T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission. Underneath it is equipped with a Detroit Speed Engineering hydroformed subframe and Roadster Shop Fast Track independent suspension, featuring QA1 MOD series shocks and coilovers.

As always, the RingBrothers are choosing the top-of-the-notch HRE G-Code Edition 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. For safety braking, there are Baer brakes, including 6-piston calipers and vented rotors on all four wheels. As we mentioned before, this custom Chevrolet built is absolutely stunning, with a unique design and high-quality execution of details.
