Barn find hunters sometimes have a difficult and at times frustrating job. They often need to do a lot of traveling and endure the laborious task of rummaging through scrap-level cars in order to locate something worthwhile. On occasion, their endeavors pay off in a big way.

With that in mind, Sean Dever from the Junkyards And Barn Finds With Sean YouTube channel hits the jackpot in his latest video release. A 1968 Chevrolet El Camino snags his attention, but when explores this premises, he uncovers some true hidden gems that include a special Pontiac.

A Classic Chevy That Commands Attention

Sean gets shown around this property by the owner, Dave, who explains at the start of the video that he has been moving some of his classic cars to the outdoor yard in recent months. With most stored indoors for many years, they are in reasonable condition.

The first car they look at is a stock late-1960s Chevy El Camino that hasn’t been on the road since 1991. Much of the heavy restoration work is already done, so it would be a great first project for a classic car enthusiast.

The next vintage vehicle that Sean appraises is an early 90’s Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Bronco. Also in the yard, there’s a Lincoln Continental Mk3 that has been in Dave’s family since it was new back in 1971.

The Genuine Bandit Of 70s Muscle Cars

Dave then shows Sean inside the main building where there are some rare and whacky motors gathering dust. The first is a 1963 Chevy Bel Air Station Wagon that’s shortened significantly. Dave is due to install a Camaro engine in this yellow wagon before it hits the road again.

Dave then leads Sean into a darkened room, and when he hits the lights, Sean gets quite the surprise. Under a layer of dust is a genuine 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Bandit. This limited-edition muscle car has a 6.6-liter V8 that outputs an upgraded 220 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque.

Dave bought the car in the mid-80s and carried out restoration work, and it’s now been sitting for 30 years. A fully restored model of the Trans Am SE sold only this month for over $125,000. This is one barn find that will surely interest a lot of classic car fans
