Disfigured animals usually have a harder time getting adopted from sanctuaries, but this dog got โ€œluckyโ€.

Lisa the 10-week-old puppy was brought to the Humane Culture Of Silicon Valley with scars all over her face and inflamed eyelids that needed surgery. The sanctuary staff werenโ€™t sure they can find a home for the pup, until Christine Doblar and her family walked in.

โ€ My girls were freaking out the whole time that someone else was going to take her,โ€ Doblar Said. โ€œSheโ€™s pretty cool looking [but she] has a wonderful, gleaming personality.

The fact that she was going to each of us, and just as loving and exuberant with everybody she greeted โ€ฆ we took a look at a couple of more canines however nobody can compare to that.โ€ The household went back the exact same day and adopted Lisa, who they renamed โ€œLucky.โ€.

10-month-old puppy Lisa was lately given a California shelter.

Her face was covered in scars and her eyelids required surgery.

โ€ She could be difficult to look at,โ€ said HSSVโ€™s Finnegan Dowling.

The sanctuary team werenโ€™t sure Lisa would certainly ever before get adopted.
