The Extremely Rare 1962 Chevrolet Impala Ss Golden Anniversary Suddenly Appeared But Is Now Just A Pile Of Scrap For Sale


If in the past Chevrolet Impala SS Golden Anniversary 1962 created much attraction, according to the flow of time, the number of cars that have survived until now is only very few. And in the latest discovery, the 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Golden Anniversary with Anniversary Gold paint was suddenly discovered lying in the bushes for a long time.

The Craigslist seller posted a picture of this car with a selling price of $5,000, but the car’s identity and origin have not been confirmed. Someone said this car could have been abandoned by the previous owner or that the previous owner dumped the car at this location and then for some reason, this person did not return. That’s why over time bushes grow to cover this car. In general, the origin of this car is still an open question.

Looking through the photos, it can be seen that the car looks like a rusted check box, according to the embossed parameters on the car, this is the original 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Golden Anniversary, paint code (927) on the confirmed VIN number plate. This is the Golden Anniversary model.

According to John Mahoney, the Chevrolet Vintage Club of America’s technical adviser on full-size cars of the early 1960s, only 300 to 350 of the 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS Golden Anniversary were ever produced. Each Golden Anniversary Impala receives special 927 votive paint and special trim 891 featuring yellow-gold vinyl bucket seats.

Traditionally with cars of this era, only about 10% survive today. And this car is likely one of about 30 that still exist. Powered by a coveted 300-horsepower V-8, dual exhaust pipes and powered by the legendary Powerglide automatic transmission, this classic Golden Anniversary Impala makes all the right sounds. consistent bar and extremely strong running ability.
