Nothing Can Stop This Paralyzed Cat From Racing In His Wheelchair
I bet this is one of the most playful, energetic, and also the bravest cats in the world. Just wait until you meet him; I guarantee you he’ll leave you speechless!
Allow me to introduce you to Harpurr, a gorgeous feline who, even paralyzed in his wheelchair, doesn’t let anyone or anything stand in his way.
His forever human, Shannon, shared:
“He’s full of spunk and vivacity. He likes to climb to the ceiling. He has no fear, and, of course, he’s never unsupervised.”
Whether he’s indoors or outdoors, Harpurr always finds a way to entertain himself. Inside, he likes to zoom around the house and climb up a cat tree, while outside he loves running around the garden, racing with his dog friend, Charity.
Once Shannon puts him in his wheelchair, Harpurr instantly transforms into a Schumacher cat, an unstoppable force. She affectionately calls him her “feisty tornado of love.”
However, seeing Harpurr in a wheelchair means he had a challenging past. It all started a few years ago when Harpurr appeared in someone’s yard. Born outdoors in Alaska, it appeared his mother had abandoned him there.
Rescuers from Mojo’s Hope, in Alaska, immediately came to help. Sadly, they discovered he was already paralyzed, but still, this courageous feline deserved a chance at life.
The rescuers brought them to Mojo’s Hope rescue, and that’s when they realized Harpurr was a true fighter. Shannon said:
“He was spunky from day one. No matter what he was presented with, he just did it.”
Harpurr received the best possible care and treatment at the rescue, including proper socialization with humans and other animals. She said:
“I brought our amazing mentor mama, Cinder. She really helped foster his personality. It was the cutest thing in the universe.”
Despite his disability, Harpurr never considered giving up, not even once. Instead, he embraced his life with open paws. His warrior spirit taught his rescuers a lot… Shannon said:
“He has taught me so much. He is as energetic as he is and full of life.”
Harpurr is proof that you can find happiness in life, no matter what, as long as you wish for it enough. You shouldn’t cry over things that life has taken away from you; instead, you should make the best of what you have left.
Sometimes, during playtime, Harpurr pauses and simply enjoys the moment.
“He also knows to take those moments, and he really just soaks in all the air and smells.”
When Harpurr wants something, nothing can get in his way, and that’s what matters most. I’m sure he never ceases to amaze Shannon, and they’re so lucky to have each other.
