This spotless 1989 Fox Body Ford Mustang GT can’t believe how clean the car is inside and out even though it’s over 30 years old

The Ford Mustang is undoubtedly one of the most iconic American muscle cars ever made, and the Fox Body Mustang is explicitly the steed of choice for many fans of blue oval muscle cars. There is a lot to love about the Fox Body Ford Mustang, with a ton of aftermarket support making it a popular car choice for enthusiasts.

HOTCARS VIDEO OF THE DAY

With that in mind, the latest video on the Throtl YouTube Channel shows an excellent condition used 1989 Fox Body Ford Mustang GT. The guys bought one of the cleanest, most well-kept Fox Body Mustangs on the market and go over the details of the car in preparation for an epic build project.

An “Almost” All Original 1989 Ford Mustang Fox Body

The guys at Throtl are clearly thrilled with their purchase of this low-mileage 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT. They can’t believe how clean the car is inside and out considering it’s over 30 years old. This third-generation Fox Body Ford Mustang was garage-kept its entire life, has 40,000 original miles, and the purchase even included the original dealer window sticker and receipts from its entire life.

The fact that this Mustang GT is all original except for the alarm system and rear window louvers is incredible to the Throtl guys. Even the engine bay is immaculate, with the original 302 cu. in. V8 engine that gives the Mustang its 5.0 badge still running strong, putting out 225 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Clean Fox Body Ford Mustangs are popular, and this car shows exactly why.

The Fox Body Ford Mustang is becoming increasingly more valuable as the years go by with the guys stating they paid over twice the original MSRP price, though that includes inflation over the years. With the original dealer sticker showing a price tag of around $15,000 back in 1989, that puts the used price of this outstanding condition example around the $30,000 mark.

The classic Fox Body Ford Mustang is a perfect project car and Throtl purchased the car for what should be an epic build. The guys bring the car to Jimmy Oakes’ car shop on the East Coast in preparation for the fun but not before ripping some wild burnouts and laying down some rubber in the parking lot.

The full series of episodes on the Throtl channel will be worth checking out to see the full evolution of this 5.0 Mustang Fox Body.
