Cat Mom Finds “Real Life Miracle” When Daily Walk Takes A Different Path

When your heart tells you it’s time to add a feline to your life, don’t ignore the call. That urge is the mysteries of the ages at work, telling you your kitty soul mate is just around the corner. Just ask Camryn Frederickson and feline Cowboy. They’ll tell you all about destiny.

And their destiny to be forever together began when Camryn told her mom she felt the need for a cat only days before her wish came true. She also knew exactly the name she would call a new kitty friend—Cowboy. Little did she know, her Cowboy would soon find her in an extraordinary way. Camryn shared their “insane once in a lifetime never going to happen again type of story” on Instagram.

“Nothing Random” In This Meeting

During what Camryn described as “one of the lowest weeks” of her life, she went for a walk. Walks are a usual thing for Camryn, but her walk on one particular day came five hours later than her normal time “and in the complete opposite direction of my usual route.”

But this deviation made all the difference.

“I found a single kitten on the sidewalk, and there was nothing random about it,” said Camryn.

This was the kitten her heart had wanted, just waiting for her on the sidewalk. But Camryn’s little Cowboy was in big danger. From the look of things, the black and white kitten was newly born, with Camryn guessing him to be only an hour old.

“He was the only one there – no trace of a mom or any other kittens. It was no coincidence,” Camryn shared. “Right in front of me was the kitten I had asked for. He was a boy and had black and white spots like a cow.”

“The chances of him surviving without his mom were almost zero, and if I had decided to go on that walk just 5 minutes earlier or later, he wouldn’t have stood a chance.”

Camryn brought her Cowboy home and cleaned him up. And giving him his first bottle, she simply “stared at him in awe.”

“I didn’t just find any kitten, I quite literally found Cowboy,” said Camryn.

Right away, Cowboy settled into the good life, enjoying naps with his new mom, getting belly scratches with his favorite toothbrush, and charming all his followers on social media. And more than a year later, this sweet boy is still stealing hearts online. But for all his fans, his cowgirl Camryn will always be his soul mate. And to Camryn, Cowboy will furever be “a real-life miracle.”
