Well, here’s something you don’t hear every day, and I hope it stays that way! 

An Imgur user shared a series of photos detailing a rather unusual situation involving his ex-girlfriend. It all started when the man explained:

“A former girlfriend and I still have feelings for each-other, but we split because of religious differences.  The other day she called me and said that if we got back together, I’d have to get rid of my cat.”

Now, that’s a tough choice…

The man faced a dilemma because of their shared past. However, when the girlfriend insisted that the cat had to go for them to reunite, he knew exactly where he stood.

If he had to choose between her and his pet cat Hobbes, there was only one possible choice…

“I’m 33 years-old, and Hobbes is the closest thing I have to a kid.”

“I love my kitty cat, and I’m never “getting rid” of him. I now have no desire to get back with my ex. End of story.”

To be honest, it sounds like the girlfriend inadvertently made the decision much simpler for him. After all, if she didn’t have this ultimatum in mind, she probably wouldn’t be his ex.

As all us cat lovers know, significant others may come and go, but the bonds we share with our furry friends are truly fur-ever! And to the man, I have only one thing to say: You made the right, and only, choice.
