Alastor Fishsticks Proves Nothing Slows A Tripod Cat Down!

An amazing cat with an amazing name, Alastor Fishsticks is a fine orange and white feline gentleman. But he’s had a rough go. You see, someone decided to practice their cruelty on this sweet cat by shooting him multiple times with a pellet gun.

Yes, people can be terrible, but as Best Friends Animal Society proves, people can also be wonderful and kind. This is just what Alastor learned coming into the care of these dedicated animal rescuers.

His journey has been captured in a video chronicle debuted by Best Friends. When Alastor arrived at the Utah sanctuary, he was suffering from “severe injuries caused by a pellet gun.” The wounds were severe enough that his medical team had to amputate one of his front legs. He would need a warm, safe place to recuperate and learn to navigate life as a tripod cat.

Thanks to Best Friends and his foster home, this good cat found just what the doctors ordered and more!

Three Legs Won’t Slow Him Down

Before long, Alastor Fishsticks was up on his three paws walking and “even zipping through the house to get his favorite treats.” Being the smart boy he is, “Alastor also took every opportunity to get as much love as possible.” Soon, his healing was done and it was time to go to his forever home!

Come adoption day, Alastor discovered he had a great new family, plus, he had all the cool toys and yummy treats he could handle. And, best of all, he found “a new best friend named Marley.”

Together, the two cats chase and pounce each other just as cat siblings love to do, neither of them paying any mind to Alastor’s absent leg. Healed and shown what love is, Alastor doesn’t let his past slow him down. With the love of his new kitty brother and family, Alastor Fishsticks isn’t missing a thing!

Tripod Francesca lost her leg as a kitten, but she’s still the loveliest and sweetest fluff ever!

In sharing about her beloved tripod cat, Calli, a cat mom says, “The most wonderful thing about cats is that they adapt immediately.” She’s so right!

Another cat mom explained of her tabby boy, “Our sweet tripod Buster is the busiest little guy on our farm!”
