When people decide to adopt dogs, they often look to adopt the cutest which means that dogs that are not that cute have a last chance than the cute.
One of these dogs is Wally, a Pit Bull, who has experienced a very rough life and is looking to be adopted in his golden years as he does not look ordinary. Wally, who also had some health issues, including blindness in an eye and a skin infection, was brought as a stray to the Town of Islip Animal Shelter on Long Island, in NY, when he was ten years old.
Wally, who became the favorite of many of the shelter workers, has a great personality, but this is not always enough to let people adopt him. Wally likes to just hang out without doing anything and he’ll do anything for some food, according to Danielle Gorle, veterinary tech.
Unfortunately, he has waited more than one year to find a new home with no takers as many potential adopters did not see his beauty. Actually, he isn’t good with other animals, he just needed to be the only pet in the home.
Gorle said that Wally likes to hang out but he was not that happy when he first came in. Fortunately, his story went viral and finally found a forever home. He will spend his golden years in a forever home with a great family who will give him the love and care he needs.
