Bridging the Past and the Future: The 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 Concept Car

If you are wondering, which is the rarest car on this planet or even the whole universe, well we might know the answer. Let us introduce you the 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car. It was designed by Bill Lange and it was known as a dream car back then. Only three of these vehicles were produced, and this particular one on the video bellow, it’s the only one still “alive”.

This 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 is using the Corvette chassis and the body is made from fiberglass just like the Vette. Speaking about the Chevy Corvette, General Motors “killed” this beautiful Olds classic to promote the six-cylinder Corvette. The Olds F-88 is powered by a 5.3 liter 324 cubic inch Super 88 V8 engine, with a four-barrel carburetor the engine produces 270 horsepower.

The power is transferred via four-speed Hydra-Matic transmission to a 3.55:1 Corvette rear axle. Probably you are wondering how much this vehicle costs, well how does the $3.240.000 bucks sounds? That’s the record bid completed at the Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
