Richard Rawlings is certainly living the dream when it comes to being an automotive enthusiast. Whether he is building one of the most impressive car collections and then selling it over $1,000,000, or getting to travel the world to drive his favorite cars, there’s not many other professions that can top his as a dream job.
In the latest episode on the Gas Monkey Garage YouTube channel, Richard and crew head to the Petersen Musuem in Los Angeles, California to check out some of the sickest classic cars we’ve ever seen.
Richard Heads To The Vault
After meeting up with the winners of the Gas Monkey Garage contest, they head into “The Vault” at the Petersen Museum. The video then shows a brief montage highlighting classic cars from nearly ever era. A few notable gems include a 3 Nascar racers, several 1950s Hot Rods, and a Vector W8 supercar.
Richard introduces us to Daniel, who will be giving the private tour of the vault. Starting off the collection are several cars from the early 1900s. Richard notes that the 1915 Mercer with no roof or windshield would have been “one helluva ride”.
Richard walks by Magnus Walker’s 277 Porsche 911 Outlaw and gives the popular car personality credit for what he’s doing for car culture. Daniel opens a secret door to Magnus’ private collection, which totally shocks Richard.
